Off to good start, met listener Hannah Vail in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island. Crazy weather, foggy, spectral, rocky beach, dogs playing in frozen water. Cool. Loved seeing you in person Hannah. Thanks for the good vibe. On to Tofino. Ripped through the coastal mountain range. Monster cliffs, snow drifts , black ice, blue skies and the most bitchin' west coast sunset you've ever seen. Arrive. Massive shadows down Chesterman's, Silhouettes of surfers dropping in. Pounding waves, pipes and rip curl, can't wait for tomorrow. Peace out.

It was starting. Had just enough time to throw a few belongings in a small bag and roll down to the beach to meet the boys. The morning's thick fog brought a calming effect to my otherwise chaotic thoughts. Things went well in Qualicum, we loaded the van and dropped the hammer. From there, it was Highway 4 over the Hump into the Alberni valley and then, straight through to the west coast. We landed on the beach at magic hour. We're Golden...

You'd be forgiven for not having any idea what this is all about. Let me explain: The Maple Leaf Mailbag Rock'n Roadshow is a go. We're all in the van (Ian, Blake, Martin " Le Cameraman" Cloutier" , and I), and we're heading across the country from the extreme west-coast (Tofino) to Montreal. The plan is to promote Ian's radio show on Radio Canada International, " The Maple Leaf Mailbag" , while meeting and talking to the largest amount of amazing Canadians we can possibly meet in the 20 days allowed us. And, we're filming a movie! More pics, and more deep thoughts will be up on this RCI website soon (www.rcinet.ca). We'll post stuff every day we're on the road. So far, we're all getting along fine, but I think things might get interesting...a little darker, more intense. Sort of like on those reality shows when people are stuck in a house together and they all immediately begin hating on each other. This could happen...soon...seriously. Stay tuned.

I saw your MLMB box before in the middle of January (?), after Mr. Ian command us to see / check your MLMB box, but there is no like this, the box is still with some colors pattern and the content is not lagoon background picture. So now is more attractive. I'll check it out. Bye.
